Prof. Richard Jolly

Profile:

Richard Jolly gained his Executive MBA (with Distinction) at London Business School, and in 2001 joined the faculty, where he was voted Best Programme Teacher by students in 2003 and runner-up in 2007. He teaches the Leadership Skills and Developing Effective Managers and Organisations core modules and the Managing Change and Paths to Power electives, as well as the Executive Leadership module on the Executive MBA Global with Columbia Business School.

In addition to his MBA teaching, Richard Jolly also instructs a large number of Executive Education programmes in the UK and across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including the Senior Executive Programme, the Accelerated Development Programme and The Essentials of Leadership. He also participates in a diverse portfolio of programmes for businesses such as Barclays, IBM, Lufthansa, Nestlé, PwC, Roche, SABIC and Sony Ericsson.

Publications, consultancy and other activities

Richard Jolly is a Director of Stokes & Jolly, a consulting firm that designs and delivers executive development workshops, coaches senior management and facilitates strategy development. In this role, he works with clients in a broad range of sectors including investment banking, private equity and venture capital, fund management, law and accountancy, management consultancy, advertising, media, music, architecture and information technology.

Richard Jolly’s research interests include top team dynamics, senior management development and understanding barriers to change. He has recently co-authored a chapter on Leadership Coaching in the Sage Handbook of Coaching (2009).
