Prof. Manuel Becerra

Profile:

Prof. Manuel Becerra holds a PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Maryland and a MSc in Management from the University of Southern California. He is currently Professor and is holding the Accenture Chair of Strategic Management at IE Business School in Madrid/ Spain. Prof. Becerra is specialized in working with top executives in issues related to strategic analysis and building competitive advantage. In addition to his teaching, research, and consulting activities in Spain, he has also been invited to teach as visiting professor in various countries, such as Norway, United States and China.

In 2009, Prof. Becerra published his renowned book “Theory of the Firm for Strategic Management”. He has served in the editorial boards of some of the main journals in strategic management and has received several awards for his research and his teaching, including the 2005-2008 Teaching Excellence Award at Instituto de Empresa.
